Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Machine Operator I for the Tank & Canopy, 3rd Shift (11pm - 7am) in Richmond, VA. You will fabricate parts, set up work, and ensure assemblies meet drawings and BOMs, while maintaining tools and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in production fabrication or machining, are self-directed and able to read tape measures, fractions and decimals, with good teamwork and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of production fabrication or comparable experience.
• 1 to 2 years of fabrication/machining preferred.
• Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements: standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Production environment with temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, noise, and dust.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate assemblies/parts for products per engineering documents and production standards.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides.
• Arrange parts for fabrication and staging.
• Review finished assemblies against drawings and BOMs.
• Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions.
