Mars Petcare in Kansas City is seeking a night shift Machine Operator to safely run production and packaging equipment, monitor quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role emphasizes adherence to GMPs, safety, and teamwork in a climate-controlled facility.

You will handle equipment operations, troubleshoot issues, and collaboratively drive efficiency with an emphasis on reliability and safety. Previous manufacturing or military technical experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience OR equivalent military experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Basic computer/iPad skills with a passion for learning automated systems.
• Highly reliable, resilient, conscientious, punctual, and driven by a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate conversion and packaging machinery to package finished products.
• Troubleshoot equipment, clear jams, reset faults, and lead product changeovers.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance to keep lines running smoothly.
• Ensure GMP and food safety standards are met at all times.
