Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a Machine Operator - Technician (Making/Packing) for the night shift in Aurora, Nebraska. This full-time, permanent role requires hands-on mechanical skills, safety-focused work ethic, and the ability to operate high-speed packaging equipment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in manufacturing or equivalent military experience, strong communication, teamwork, and a safety-first mindset, with on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing or related machinery operation is preferred.
• Military training and experience in mechanics is valued.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-speed making and packing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine diagnostics and preventive maintenance to keep lines running.
• Conduct standard quality checks including metal detection and CCP audits.
• Load packaging materials, clear jams, and manage changeovers smoothly.
• Record production metrics and maintain shift documentation.
• Adhere to GMPs and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
