Qualifications

• Forklift certification preferred or obtainable
• Able to lift up to 48 lbs occasionally
• Able to stand for a 12-hour shift in a plant setting
• Must wear required PPE (glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, etc.)
• Strong basic math and measurement skills
• Effective communication and teamwork
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Operate processing and packaging equipment according to best methods.
• Handle heavy materials manually or with industrial vehicles.
• Perform quality, sensory, and sanitation tests.
• Draw samples and record color per quality specs.
• Load/unload tank trucks and maintain records.
• Maintain inventories and records.
• Perform routine maintenance of equipment.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and related areas.
• Comply with safety procedures and use proper protective gear.
