Job description

Overview:

The machine operator is responsible for the day-to-day duties in running equipment to produce quality products safely and on time. The working schedule will be 12-hour rotating shifts from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am with every other weekend scheduled.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain product quality based on established standards, including visual and mechanical inspection, and work safely at all times following safety policies and procedures.
• Perform setups according to procedures, operate, and load/unload equipment.
• Follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, and work orders.
• Maintain and log information supporting traceability and quality.
• Participate in cross-training activities.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Perform other duties as required or directed.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical ability or previous machine operator experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test, including medical marijuana.
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Physical requirements: stand up to 12 hours, walk 8-10 hours, push/pull up to 66 pounds, bend 10-20 times, squat 20 times, climb 4-6 step ladder 4-5 times, reach 10 times, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, twist with reels, grasp/manipulate/push/pull multiple times daily.
