UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, NM is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care within the Adult IP Admission Unit. You will follow the nursing process and ensure adherence to hospital policies, with patients across age groups from neonate to geriatric.

Responsibilities include delivering safe care, collaborating on care plans, assisting with tests, documenting findings, and supporting discharge planning.

Formación

• CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers within 30 days.
• Licensed Practical Nurse in NM or receipt agreement.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients as required
• Work within Hospitals, Nursing division and departmental policies
• Work in collaboration with the healthcare team, implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age specific considerations, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching
• Assist with special tests and procedures, ensure proper consent has been obtained
• Provide oxygen therapy, I.V. setup, catheterization, apply cardiac monitor and other duties as assigned under the supervision of RN or attending physician as requested
• Administer medications and monitors results, excluding IV push medications, via the Seven Rights and documents and communicate clinical findings
