Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in Michigan.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in a medical/surgical setting.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration and patient safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to rotating schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to renal oncology patients and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments with accurate documentation.
• Assist with daily living activities while maintaining patient dignity.
• Monitor IV lines, catheters, and other renal oncology equipment.
• Collect lab specimens and ensure proper labeling/documentation.
• Communicate care plans with patients, families, and the care team.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation of patient interactions.
• Support patients emotionally during challenging treatment phases.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized care plans.
• Respond promptly to call lights and prioritize care by clinical need.
