You will monitor vital signs, administer medications, document meticulously in the EHR, and assist with activities of daily living while ensuring patient dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in Michigan.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in a medical/surgical setting.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration, dosage calculations, and patient safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work night shift schedules and adapt to rotating schedules as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to assess patient conditions and recognize changes requiring immediate intervention.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist patients with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to renal oncology patients, including monitoring vital signs and reporting changes.
• Administer medications and treatments with proper documentation and safety.
• Assist with hygiene, comfort measures, and activities of daily living.
• Monitor intravenous lines, catheters, and other renal oncology equipment.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens with proper labeling.
• Communicate care plans and procedures with patients and families.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation of patient interactions and observations.
• Support patients emotionally during challenging treatment phases.
• Collaborate with nursing team to develop individualized care plans.
• Respond to patient call lights and prioritize care by clinical need.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
