Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT seeks an LPN to perform delegated nursing tasks within their scope, under supervision, on nights.

You will assist with admissions, medications, specimen collection, care documentation, and patient education; collaborate with RNs and physicians; participate in quality improvement and training. We offer a generous benefits package and a supportive team in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in state of practice.
• BLS-HCP certification on hire or within 60 days with prior approval.
• ACLS required if applicable to unit.
• Colorado sites: IV Certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Montana sites: In-house education and competency sign-off within 3 months of hire.
• LPNs in non-LTC/behavioral health departments must enroll and complete RN within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and check-in; orient patients and complete forms.
• Prepare and administer medications; assist with ADLs and prep for interventions.
• Obtain and track specimens; document care and update care plans.
• Communicate with supervisory RN/physicians about patient care and changes in condition; educate patients.
• Follow regulatory standards; document accurately; participate in quality improvement; mentor staff if required.
