Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join Med Surg at a Lewiston, Maine partner facility. Nights shift, 12-week assignment with weekly pay and flexible opportunities to advance your career.

Responsibilities include bedside patient care, monitoring vitals, assisting with meds and IV therapy, and collaborating with RNs and physicians to ensure safe, efficient care. Maine licensure required, BLS, IV/BW certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of LPN Med Surg experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
