Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a Full Time LPN for the Cabarrus County Jail in Concord, NC. This 12-hour night shift role offers a night and weekend differential and a chance to provide quality patient care in a structured, secure environment.

Ideal candidates hold an NC LPN license with CPR certification and are capable of independent decision-making, critical thinking, and clear communication. Correctional healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted North Carolina LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
• Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performing nursing assessments and providing direct patient care.
• Administering medications and treatments as ordered.
• Monitoring patients and recognizing changes in condition.
• Responding to urgent and emergent healthcare needs.
• Providing patient education and reinforcing care plans.
• Communicating patient concerns to providers and other healthcare team members.
• Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Following established clinical protocols and standards of care.
• Working collaboratively with nursing, medical, and correctional staff.
• Helping maintain a safe, respectful, and professional healthcare environment.
