Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and current RN or LPN license in Florida.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Previous long-term care experience preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership and supervisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care according to established standards of care.
• Directs nursing assistants and ensures policy adherence in nursing care.
• Perform routine charting and maintain documentation policies.
• Order and administer medications as prescribed following regulations.
• Identify problems and coordinate changes to improve nursing care.
• Assist physicians during rounds and communicate resident status and changes.
• Support infection control and quality assurance programs.
• Maintain adequate supply levels and manage unit resources.
• Contribute to resident care plans and inform staff of goals and approaches.
• Ensure residents' rights are observed and respected.
