Job summary

Kendal at Oberlin is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for full-time night shift (7:00pm-7:30am) in Oberlin, Ohio. The LPN will work under the RN Nurse Manager and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support residents’ health needs in the Stephens Care Center.

The role focuses on directing and developing staff, coordinating with physicians, and delivering compassionate nursing care including care planning, rounds, and effective communication with families.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold current license in Ohio in good standing.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• New grads are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Review, implement and evaluate residents' plan of care.
• Provide nursing care to residents requiring specialized care with nurse manager collaboration.
• Interpret care plans to residents, families, and staff as appropriate.
• Accompany physician on rounds when the nurse manager is unavailable.
• Ensure accurate communication to all team members about each resident's care/activities.
