Qualifications

• Nursing degree/diploma; BSN preferred.
• 2+ years nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in inpatient dual-diagnosis (SUD & MH) setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing standards of care for mental health and substance use disorders.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Maintain professionalism, objectivity, and composure in high-stress situations.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under medical provider supervision.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and admission documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and provide education.
• Assess medical needs, determine urgency, and initiate interventions.
• Monitor psychiatric symptoms, medication effectiveness, and safety; report changes.
• Transcribe, document, and implement provider orders; collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain documentation in EMR per licensure and standards.
• Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Support medication management and controlled substances processes.
• Maintain certifications and participate in ongoing education.
• Participate in department and staff meetings; demonstrate professionalism and teamwork.
