Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the state of practice or multi-state eNLC license.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire date.
• State and federal background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care per the plan of care and under supervision.
• Consults with the Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist for guidance in care delivery.
• Performs designated therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Observes, records, and reports patient concerns, symptoms, and progress promptly.
• Assists physicians and overseeing staff with examinations and procedures.
• Contributes to nursing assessment by collecting and reporting data.
• Monitors patient condition and reports deviations from normal health status.
• Participates in developing the patient plan of care and prioritizes needs.
• Assists in patient and family education and rehabilitation per teaching plan.
• Documents nursing interventions and responses to care for health records.
• Administers IM, subcutaneous, IV, oral, nebulized, and MDI medications appropriately.
• Obtains supervision as needed when implementing nursing techniques.
