Job summary

Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital - Gilbert is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our acute rehab team on nights. This full‑time role offers 3x12 shifts, rotating weekends, and a commitment to safe, compassionate patient care.

You will perform assessments, administer medications, support the RN, and contribute to an interdisciplinary care plan in a hospital setting. We encourage continuing education and career growth within the Lifepoint/Dignity Health network.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required
• IV Certification highly preferred or must be obtained within 6 months.
• Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications safely, accurately, and based on patient age and clinical condition.
• Minimize potential for medication errors by following proper medication administration procedures.
• Assist the RN with initial assessments and patient reassessments per policy.
• Identify and implement appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
• Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments under RN supervision.
• Deliver care based on patient response to treatment and update the interdisciplinary plan accordingly.
• Assess and reassess pain; use appropriate pain management techniques and educate patients and families.
• Perform all patient care tasks in a manner that promotes patient safety and reduces medical errors.
• Develop and implement individualized teaching plans based on patient and family learning needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
