Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a locomotive operator to move materials within the plant in San Antonio, TX. You will operate locomotives, perform inspections, and ensure safe rail movements while coordinating with the team to keep operations efficient.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Operate locomotives to transport materials within the plant.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on locomotives.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of rail equipment.

Conditions of Employment:

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment:

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

Physical Demands of the Job:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working on equipment.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
