Job summary

The Minnesota Star Tribune is seeking a Load Lead to join the fleet operations team at our Minneapolis facility. This fast-paced role oversees loading of newspapers, pallets, and freight, ensuring accuracy and on-time distribution while maintaining a safe, organized work area.

The Load Lead coordinates with Dispatch, Post-Production, and drivers, supports union workforce, and drives daily productivity. Starting pay is $23.15 per hour; benefits include a 401(k) match, healthcare, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics preferred.
• Able to work a 3rd shift, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift 25 pounds or more regularly.
• Strong math and ability to verify counts and shipping info.
• Reads and understands shipping manifests and work instructions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, self-motivated, can work independently or in a team.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret and execute shipping manifests to ensure timely loading and shipment of products.
• Collaborate with Dispatch, Post-Production, and leadership teams to resolve shipping discrepancies.
• Coordinate with drivers and transportation partners for safe, accurate loading of products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment while following company policies.
