Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Wafer Fab Operator to join the Manufacturing Operations Team in Hopewell Junction, NY. The role loads wafers, verifies specs, monitors equipment, and supports productivity with a focus on clean-room procedures.

Night shift 1 runs Sunday, Monday, Tuesday with every other Wednesday, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM, 15% night shift differential. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to work a 12-hour shift in a clean-room environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move it over extended distances.
• Must stand for long periods and move between tools; ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs (up to 500 lbs with carts).
• Able to handle chemicals/gases safely and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing tools to process high quality product.
• Work in a self-directed team to achieve daily goals.
• Interfacing with computer systems to perform duties.
• Operate tools to process wafers through the manufacturing stages.
• Make minor process/equipment adjustments and involve technicians/engineers when needed.
• Maintain safety standards and environmental, health and safety programs.
