Job summary

WL Plastics Corporation in Elizabethtown, KY, is seeking a Line Operator for the night shift on a production line handling extrusion equipment. You will monitor processes, perform minor maintenance, and help improve machine performance on a 12-hour shift with every other weekend off.

Responsibilities include adjusting controls, assisting with changeovers, inspecting products for defects, packaging, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Reading, writing and basic math skills are required.
• Ability to use and interpret precision instruments and equipment.
• Must work safely in a production environment; able to perform tasks.
• Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Adherence to Quality Policy and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Team-oriented with QA, shipping and supervision.
• US citizen or eligible to work in the US.
• Regular, predictable full attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion equipment as part of a team to support the production line.
• Monitor processes, perform minor maintenance, troubleshoot, and improve machine performance.
• Report major process changes to the Production Supervisor.
• Adjust controls to achieve specified diameter and product quality.
• Assist with machine changeovers and load materials.
• Clean work areas and document machine operating conditions and measurements.
• Package product and move to staging area for QC inspection.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
