Job summary

WL Plastics Corporation in Mills, Wyoming is seeking a Night Shift Production Operator to support a production line, focusing on operating, caring for, and maintaining extrusion equipment while aiming to improve machine performance.

The full-time, 12-hour night shift includes every other weekend as a 3-day weekend and a $1.00 shift differential. The starting wage is $21.00–$24.00 per hour, with increases based on safety, quality, and employee qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Proficient with reading, writing, and basic math relating to the job.
• Ability to use and interpret precision instruments, tools, machinery and equipment.
• Must be able to work safely in a production environment; physically capable of performing job duties.
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize, manage time and multitask.
• Adherence to Quality Policy and ISO 9001 procedural requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adjust controls to draw product into specified diameter.
• Assist with changeovers on extrusion machines according to production line changes.
• Clean work areas.
• Load machine hoppers with mixed materials.
• Measure and examine extruded products for defects and check conformance; adjust controls as needed.
• Reel extruded products into rolls of specified lengths.
• Start machines and set controls to regulate vacuum, air pressure, sizing rings, temperature, and synchronize speed of extrusion.
• Document machine operating conditions and product measurements.
• Report major process changes to Production supervisor.
• Package product and move to staging area for quality control inspection.
• Perform other duties assigned by Production Supervisor.
