Job summary

Carlyle House, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse for night shift supervision and patient care.

You will deliver safe nursing care from admission to discharge in collaboration with the physician and family, using the nursing process to optimize residents' physical and mental function. Responsibilities include bedside care, vital signs, injections, wound care, hygiene assistance, and health teaching, all while adhering to facility policies and OSHA safety rules.

Qualifications

• Safe and therapeutic resident care delivery
• Collaborative care with physician, family and MDT
• Night shift responsibilities from 7pm to 7am
• Follow nursing process to restore/maintain resident function
• Follows facility policies and OSHA safety rules

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care
• Maintain safe, clean environment for patients
• Measure and record vital signs
• Assist with bathing, dressing and personal hygiene
• Prepare and administer injections and enemas
• Record input/output of food and fluids
• Dress wounds and assist in mobility
• Collect samples and perform routine lab tests as directed
• Record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions
• Contribute to patient and family health education
• Complete orientation and adhere to assignment protocols
