Job summary

Shearer’s Foods is seeking an Operations Supervisor for 12 hour night shifts to lead plant floor activities and ensure safety, quality and productivity targets are met. This role emphasizes continuous improvement within a Lean environment and requires strong leadership and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates hold a 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience and have 2–5 years in production management or supervision, preferably in food processing.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in a related business or technical field such as food science, operations management, or engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in a production management or supervision role, preferably in the food processing industry.
• Strong leadership capabilities to help take our team to the next level.

Responsibilities

• Directs employees and plant floor activities to achieve a consistent and high-quality product.
• Ensures that safety, sanitation, and regulatory rules are followed to maintain a safe workplace.
• Maintains positive employee relations and participates in training of hourly personnel.
• Tracks performance and attendance to meet metrics and resolve issues promptly.
• Uses data and metrics to evaluate and improve processes and regulatory documentation.
• Collaborates with other supervisors and cross-functional teams to coordinate operations.
• Plans and establishes work schedules.
