• Assesses and provides teaching based on patient and family needs.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and research.
• Maintains clinical competencies through credentialing, safety education and BLS/ACLS/PALS as appropriate.
• Serves as a role model/preceptor to new graduates and less experienced staff.
• Assumes charge nurse responsibility as delegated.
