Job summary

The role involves performing respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures at the request of the medical team, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation tailored to patient age and needs.

The position may require acting as Lead RCP during shifts. Licensure and professional certifications (RCP, RRT, BLS, ACLS) are required or pursued,

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification preferred.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Focus on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of patient care.
• May serve as Lead RCP and oversee the section during a shift.
