Job summary

Wellbridge is seeking a Lead Recovery Support Specialist for the night shift (4pm–2am) at our Calverton, NY location. This on-site role provides leadership to RSS staff, coordinates care plans, and supports patients across program levels of care.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in addiction treatment, strong communication and de-escalation skills, and a current NYS license. We offer a supportive environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years' experience working in addiction treatment.
• General knowledge of substance use and/or mental health disorders.
• Current NYS driver's license with clean driving record.
• Demonstrated communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• BLS within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site leadership and training to RSS staff; manage shift schedules and assignments.
• Collaborate with Clinical and Nursing supervision to discuss care plans and issues.
• Report patient medical concerns, perform point-of-care testing, biometrics, specimen collection.
• Round on each unit to support staff and provide education as needed.
• Assist with breaks, discharges, and new admissions when needed.
• Provide de-escalation for staff and patients when necessary.
• Provide RSS care and support as directed.
• Maintain a safe and caring environment in line with Wellbridge mission.
