Job summary

Pregis LLC seeks a Lead Packer to supervise Packers across multiple lines, ensuring adherence to SOPs and QA standards. The role involves monitoring packaging quality, guiding workflow, and collaborating with QA inspectors to maintain production targets and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong organization, and the ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish bilingual is a plus. Overtime may be required on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; Spanish bilingual a plus.
• Ability to direct a team and facilitate compliance with workplace policies; escalate to supervisor as needed.
• Strong organizational skills to delegate, plan, and schedule work.
• Flexible with overtime and shifting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of Packers across multiple production lines, providing direction and oversight.
• Ensure SOPs are followed during production and that correct packaging components are used.
• Maintain SAP inventory integrity and correct load flags for finished goods.
• Monitor packaging for defects, report non-conformities, and initiate hold procedures when needed.
• Train Packers on QA SOPs and conduct regular audits of quality inspections.
• Collaborate with QA Inspector, Quality Manager, and Operations to resolve issues.
• Coordinate manning schedules and overtime with the Production Supervisor.
• Ensure smooth shift handoff and effective communication with staff.
