Job summary

Pregis seeks a Lead Packer to guide the packaging team at our Elgin, IL facility. You will oversee packaging operations across multiple lines, support teammates, uphold quality standards, and ensure orders are produced accurately and shipped on time.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing/packaging experience, leadership ability, and a passion for continuous improvement in a fast-paced setting. The role offers night shifts with a 2-2-3 rotating schedule and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in fast-paced production environments.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to coach and direct employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with quality standards, inspections, and SOPs.
• Basic computer skills and documentation experience.
• Experience with SAP inventory systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Packers across multiple production lines.
• Provide direction and day-to-day guidance to team members.
• Help maintain efficient production flow and achieve department goals.
• Coordinate employee rotations and breaks.
• Assist with staffing and overtime planning with department leadership.
• Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
