Job summary

East Coast Mining Ltd. is seeking a Nightshift Lead Hand Heavy Duty Mechanic for a long-term open-pit mining project near St. Lawrence, NL. You will lead a team of mechanics, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure safe, reliable equipment performance on night shifts.

Ideal candidates have a Journeyperson HDET certification, 5+ years of mining experience, and hands-on CAT/Komatsu maintenance know-how. This is a permanent night shift with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician/Mechanic certification required.
• Minimum 5 years mining/industrial experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with large mobile mining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate nightshift maintenance for heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Provide day-to-day direction and technical support to mechanics and maintenance staff.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities to support equipment availability and mine production.
