Overview

Ledcor is looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support our mining operations in Nevada and Idaho. You’ll work on a fleet of haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators, helping keep critical equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the job.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mining equipment including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
  • Repair and replace components to OEM standards, with a focus on Cat, Hitachi, and Komatsu equipment.
  • Complete service records and communicate equipment status to operations teams.
  • Work safely with tools and equipment, following all site safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with mechanics and operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in heavy equipment repair (mining or heavy civil preferred).
  • Trade certification, technical training, or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with Cat, Hitachi, and Komatsu equipment strongly preferred.
  • MSHA Part 48 (metal/non‑metal) required (support provided if needed).
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
  • Must pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing.
Work Conditions
  • Rotating shifts, 10–12 hours per day.
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours.
