Job summary

Litchfield Public Schools is seeking a Night Lead Custodian at the Middle/High School buildings. This role provides leadership to night shift custodians and performs essential custodial tasks to keep the school environment clean, safe, and secure.

Collaboration with the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor helps address building needs and staffing concerns. The position runs 12 months, Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–11:00pm, with competitive benefits including health, dental, life insurance, LTD, paid time

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Knowledge of custodial cleaning methods, materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Previous custodial, facilities, maintenance, or related experience preferred.
• Previous lead, supervisory, or team leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor completed work and conduct building walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Provide guidance and assistance to custodial staff regarding cleaning procedures and equipment use.
• Promote a positive, respectful, cooperative, and productive work environment among night custodial staff.
• Perform regular custodial duties alongside other night custodial team members.
