Job summary

Litchfield Independent School District is seeking a Night Lead Custodian for the Middle/High School buildings. The role leads night shift staff and performs custodial duties to maintain a clean, safe school environment at Litchfield High School.

The position is 12 months, 2:30pm–11:00pm, with competitive benefits including health, dental, life insurance, LTD, PTO, and 12 paid holidays. Apply to join the district facilities team at night.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Knowledge of custodial cleaning methods, materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Previous custodial, facilities, maintenance, or related experience preferred.
• Previous lead, supervisory, or team leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Able to perform essential job functions such as lifting, bending and standing
• Take direction and maintain a level of professionalism at all time

Responsibilities

• Monitor completed work and conduct building walk-throughs to ensure district cleanliness and sanitation standards are met.
• Provide guidance and assistance to custodial staff regarding proper cleaning procedures, equipment use, and work expectations.
• Promote a positive, respectful, cooperative, and productive work environment among night custodial staff.
• Perform regular custodial duties alongside other members of the night custodial team.
• Secure/lock up building at night
• Other duties as assigned
