Job summary

Spring Lake Park School District 16 is seeking a High School Night Lead Custodian to supervise the night crew and coordinate custodial and maintenance tasks at Spring Lake Park High School. Responsibilities include cleaning, safety monitoring, and reporting maintenance needs to the Day Head Custodian.

The role requires custodial experience, boiler/HVAC knowledge, and the ability to respond to emergencies. Night shift with competitive hourly pay; apply with the Interim Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade training desirable.
• Custodial and/or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of boiler operations and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with HVAC control systems and safety regulations.
• Ability to respond to building emergencies and emergencies calmly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate custodial and maintenance duties to protect the school building and grounds.
• Provide work directions to night crew and monitor performance.
• Train new employees to district standards for cleaning and nightly duties.
• Perform nightly cleaning, waste removal, and routine repairs as needed.
• Monitor building conditions and report unsafe conditions or anomalies.
• Coordinate event prep/cleanup and manage supply inventories.
• Help manage building security and assist visitors as directed.
