Job summary

Banner Ironwood Medical Center in Queen Creek, Arizona, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Labor and Delivery Unit. This full-time night position operates from 6pm to 6:30am, with rotating weekends/holidays and a night differential where applicable.

The role prepares for procedures, passes instruments, maintains aseptic technique, and supports OR turnover. Graduation from a surgical tech program or 2+ years OR experience are preferred; basic life support is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Must be registered with State Regulatory Agency where applicable.
• Ability to stay organized and calm in high-stress emergent situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures and ensures instruments are ready.
• Passes instruments, retracts tissue and assists during surgery.
• Maintains aseptic technique and proper disposal of sharps and trash.
• Assists with OR turnover, stocking, replenishing supplies, and cleaning rooms.
• May provide business support to the department as assigned.
