Job summary

Banner Health's Ironwood Medical Center in Queen Creek, AZ, seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the Labor and Delivery Unit. The role supports the operating room by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and current BLS, with preferred graduated surgical technology program or OR experience. Schedule: nights 6pm–6:30am; must work at least two days a month.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with current BLS certification.
• State registration as required by the governing body.
• Manual dexterity and ability to perform under stressful conditions.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for procedures and selects appropriate instruments.
• Anticipates surgeon needs and passes instruments.
• Maintains aseptic technique and counts sharps and sponges.
• Assists with OR turnover and stocking supplies.
• Supports departmental administrative tasks as needed.
• Participates in training and orientation of staff and students.
