Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas, Texas, seeks a PRN Labor & Delivery RN for night shifts to care for a laboring patient population within Parkland's Labor & Delivery unit on the 1st floor. Must hold an active RN license in Texas, have two years of Labor & Delivery experience or completion of Parkland's RN Residency/Fellowship with one year of L&D experience, and maintain CPR and ACLS certifications.

A BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred for advancement and leadership potential.
• Active Texas RN license and CPR; ACLS required on hire/placement.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery or completion of Parkland's RN Residency/Fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients per protocols.
• Maintain patient safety, document accurately, and coordinate with multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Support patient-centered care and act as a patient advocate.
