Job summary
University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join a nationally recognized team caring for pregnant patients, infants and families. The role includes practice at UW Medical Center and Seattle Children's Hospital as part of the fetal intervention program.
90% FTE with night shifts; two years+ L&D experience and WA RN licensure required. Join a leading academic center offering high-risk obstetric care and multidisciplinary
Qualifications
- Two years or more years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license or eligible through the Multistate Licensure (MSL) Compact.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Equivalent education and experience may substitute for minimum qualifications where permitted, except licensure/certification requirements apply.
Responsibilities
- Admit patients for scheduled fetal procedures and fetal surgeries.
- Provide intra-procedural nursing support during fetal interventions and surgeries.
- Recover patients following procedures, including monitoring maternal and fetal status and post-procedure care.
- Deliver patient education, discharge planning and ongoing post-procedure nursing care.
