Job summary

Sierra Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit. This full-time role is 36 hours per week with a convenient night shift schedule, providing care to laboring patients and obstetric emergencies. The nurse delivers intrapartum support, fetal monitoring, and postpartum education while collaborating with the care team.

Provides leadership and maintains patient-centered care standards, aligning with facility philosophy and service excellence as core values.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN-approved RN program and licensed in Nevada.
• Current BLS certificate; ACLS preferred or obtained within 6 months.
• NRP and STABLE within 6 months of hire; fetal monitoring training within 6 months.
• Experience in acute care settings is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe nursing care aligned with facility policies and standards.
• Lead and support the healthcare team, upholding patient-centered care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and discharge for obstetric and intrapartum patients.
• Educate patients and families; monitor labor, birth, and postpartum status.
