Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking an experienced registered nurse for Labor & Delivery, night shift 7 pm–7:30 am, with rotating weekends and holidays. This full-time role offers a $25,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates with 18+ months in Labor & Delivery.

You will provide nursing care per state act and hospital policy, use critical thinking to assess patients, delegate tasks, and collaborate with the team.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
• BSN within five years if ADN held
• Current State of Illinois RN licensure
• Current BLS through American Heart Association
• ACLS within six months
• C-EFM within one year
• NRP certification within six months
• Labor and delivery experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures.
• Employs critical thinking to assess patients’ condition, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and record observations.
• Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
• Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.
• Duties may vary by assigned unit or shift.
