Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT is hiring a Lab Technologist for the Automated Lab Team. You will perform high complexity testing in a hospital setting without direct supervision, handling sample processing, labeling, centrifugation, and storage.

The role demands bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical or biological science, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical or biological science.
• Foreign graduates require degree equivalency evaluation documentation.
• Lab experience preferred, but not required.
• Must possess excellent communication skills to interact with patients and health care team.
• Hearing acuity to communicate and monitor instrumentation.
• Analytical ability to interpret information and report results.
• Sufficient motor skills for calibration and sample procedures.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Moderate and high complexity tests using various laboratory techniques.
• Perform tests per procedures with accuracy and precision.
• Maintain instrumentation knowledge and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Manage inventory of reagents and QC materials for tests.
• Analyze patient specimens and report results within turnaround times.
