Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead the Specimen Processing and phlebotomy sections of the laboratory. You will oversee day-to-day activities, including payroll, scheduling and inventory control, to ensure accurate patient processing and timely results.

Responsibilities include supervising phlebotomy and specimen processing, ensuring proper documentation, and holding staff accountable for reliable patient laboratory results.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising the Specimen Processing and phlebotomy sections.
• 5 years experience in phlebotomy and specimen processing in a clinical lab.
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
• Preferred certifications in medical technology.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day activities of the Specimen Processing and phlebotomy sections, including payroll, scheduling and inventory control.
• Oversee pre- and post-analytic lab test processing and ensure accurate patient/specimen information.
• Ensure reliable patient laboratory results by holding staff accountable.
