Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a part-time Specimen Processing Specialist at Temple Hospital to support pre- and post-analytic lab processing, specimen collection and processing, and accurate management of patient information.

Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy and specimen processing experience is required. High School Diploma or equivalent is required; general science courses are preferred. This on-site role offers day shifts with a 20-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year experience performing phlebotomy and specimen processing required.
• Other classes in general sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general and routine duties in pre- and post-analytic portions of lab test processing.
• Draws, collects, and processes blood and other specimens from identified patients and records required information.
• Records, manages, and enters patient and specimen data following established methods and procedures.
