Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Clinical Lab Associate I in Madison, WI to perform day-to-day Specimen Processing tasks, including accessioning, processing, automation use, and lab support. The role reports to the Specimen Processing Supervisor and aligns with Abbott Cancer Diagnostics' mission.

Shift: Tue–Fri, 10p–7:30am. Requires ability to work nights/weekends, lift up to 40 lbs, and travel within the city as needed. Strong adherence to GDP and safety policies is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience using computers including Internet, email, Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform accessioning, processing, and lab support duties.
• Maintain documentation of problems and resolutions following GDP.
• Support quality management and process improvements.
• Complete mandatory training and annual competencies.
• Handle and dispose of specimens following safety policies.
• Understand and comply with lab and safety regulations.
• Travel to other sites within the same city as needed.
