Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience using computers including Internet navigation, email, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.
• Legal authorization to work in the country of employment without current or future sponsorship.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• Laboratory or similar environment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CAP, GLP, GDP, CLIA, NYSDOH, and HIPAA.
• Experience troubleshooting automation and performing instrument maintenance.
• Lean experience (Kaizen, Kanban, root cause analysis).

Responsibilities

• Accession, processing, automation usage, sample racking, lab maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintain documentation following GDP and quality policies.
• Support department goals and operational initiatives, including quality and process improvements.
• Complete mandatory training and annual competencies on schedule.
• Handle and dispose of specimens per safety policies.
• Travel to other sites within the same city as needed.
