Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Clinical Lab Associate I, Specimen Processing for weekend shifts in Madison, WI. You will perform accessioning, processing, automation usage, sample racking, and routine lab cleaning to support Abbott Cancer Diagnostics Labs.

You will follow GDP and safety policies, document problems, and work with leadership to support quality improvements and training completion. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential, with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory environment with sample handling and adherence to procedures.
• Regulatory knowledge including CAP, GLP, GDP, CLIA, NYSDOH, HIPAA.
• Experience troubleshooting automation and maintaining instruments.

Responsibilities

• Accessioning, processing, and using automation in Specimen Processing.
• Maintain documentation following GDP and SOPs.
• Support quality initiatives and training within the dept.
• Assist with lab maintenance, cleaning, and safety compliance.
