Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Miramar, FL seeks a Lab Assistant (Referral Representative I) for a Mon–Fri night shift 11:00 PM–7:30 AM with rotating weekends. The role handles referral testing inquiries, processes specimens, and ensures safe, compliant operations.

You’ll work with internal teams and referral vendors, resolving issues and maintaining high standards of accuracy and service in a busy lab environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one to two years clinical laboratory experience.
• Customer service and/or medical background preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all internal and external customer contact regarding Referral Testing.
• Receive, resolve and follow up with complex customer issues.
• Retrieve, sort and process specimens for shipment to referral laboratories.
• Prepare specimens and packages for shipment according to IATA regulations.
• Report laboratory results using established protocols.
• Identify and elevate Reportable Quality incidents to supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, functional and sanitary work area.
