Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Assistant (Pre-Analytical Assistant I) in Miramar, FL, Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM with rotational weekends. This role supports Tech Ops and Specimen Processing and emphasizes accurate specimen handling, labeling, and timely data entry.

Pay starts at $18.33+ per hour, with shift differentials of 10% on some second-shift hours and 15% on some third-shift hours. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and career

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
Minimal data entry skills.

Responsibilities

Learns duties of Pre-Analytical Assistant I and how Tech Ops and Specimen Processing interact to affect quality.
Identifies problems with specimen types and missing information, supporting timely resolution.
Understands test ordering compliance policies and translation tables.
Meets quality and production standards within 6 months of training.
Completes all required written documentation clearly and on time.
Reports to work on time and supports department during absences.
Learns additional functions to progress to the next level.
Performs other duties as assigned.
