AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, Florida is seeking a phlebotomy technician to join our laboratory team. You will perform blood collection, processing of specimens, and support routine laboratory operations during the night shift, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, completion of a phlebotomy training program, at least 1 year of healthcare experience, and strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent.
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program.
• 1+ year of relevant healthcare experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; basic computer skills.
• Phlebotomy and specimen handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• May perform point of care testing and related quality control.
• Performs various support activities to facilitate department operations.
• May perform blood collection and handling of specimens.
• Receives, processes, and transports patient specimens.
• Performs periodic instrument maintenance and quality assurance.
