Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Lab Assistant II for Chantilly, VA, working Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The role supports the Spec Chem - LCMSMS - Clinical Laboratory by performing routine lab tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities include instrument maintenance, sample handling, data entry, QA/QC, and assisting with pre-analytical preparation. Candidates should have at least 1 year in a technical or clinical lab and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine instrument maintenance under supervision.
• Find missing samples.
• Decontaminate work areas.
• Perform weekly radioactive wipe tests when applicable.
• Record results and data in the LIS/PC systems.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens.
• Prepare racks and worklists; enter/scan specimens.
• Complete training and competency checklists.
