Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Royal Oak, MI is hiring a Lab Assistant I for the night shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM), Monday through Friday with rotational weekends. Join a Fortune 500 leader in diagnostic information services and contribute to essential clinical testing in a fast-paced lab.

You will support the assigned department, handle specimens, perform waived tests under supervision, and help maintain supplies. A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; shift differentials up to 15% may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides a wide variety of support for assigned lab department.
• Picks up samples from accessioning and sorts samples into appropriate racks.
• Answers phone and directs calls appropriately
• Unpacks and stores reagents and supplies
• Inventories and orders warehouse supply items
• Sorts samples and distributes them to the appropriate setup hood. Manages specimen library within established time frames.
• Performs waived tests under supervision
• All other duties as assigned.
